MISSOULA –
The Montana Bioscience Alliance will host its annual meeting and reception at The University of Montana on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 9-10.
The reception begins at 5:30 p.m Sunday in The Payne Family Native American Center’s Bonnie HeavyRunner Gathering Place.
The annual meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday in University Center Rooms 332-333. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be provided.
Both events are free and open to the public.
The Montana Bioscience Alliance serves as a hub for Montana’s biotechnology companies, entrepreneurs, laboratories, hospitals, clinics and universities to commercialize, grow and sustain globally competitive bioscience companies – ultimately to create high-quality jobs and economic opportunities in Montana.
According to Sharon Peterson, MBA executive director, the Montana bioscience industry is vibrant and growing. To date there are 196 establishments providing 1,727 jobs with an average annual wage of $49,500.
