MISSOULA –
“Dispatches” has been released and can be found online at http://issuu.com/um_crown_gye/docs/dispatch.issue2.
“Dispatches” is a publication of The University of Montana Crown of the Continent Initiative and is an adjunct to UM’s Crown of the Continent e-magazine. It is issued periodically throughout the year.
The current issue features “The Naturalist,” an excerpt from a major piece on Morton J. Elrod that former UM President and Professor of History Emeritus George Dennison is writing on one of Montana’s most eminent naturalist-educators.
Dennison served as UM president for 20 years – from 1990 to 2010 – the longest tenure for a UM president. Dennison also is a Senior Fellow in The O’Connor Center for the Rocky Mountain West at UM and senior adviser to the president at Colorado State University, Global Campus.
The 38-page e-publication is issue No. 2 in this special series produced through the Crown of the Continent Initiative publishing program and includes photographs, a biography on Elrod and source endnotes.
