MISSOULA – Missoula College University of Montana will host an information session for high school students on dual credit and career pathways from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Missoula College South Campus Room HB01, located at 909 South Ave. W.
Admissions representatives and MC Pathways Coordinator Donna Bakke will deliver a short overview of how high school junior and seniors can prepare for college and careers while still in high school.
Students, parents and anyone interested in hearing more are welcome to attend the free session. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Registration is available online at http://mc.umt.edu/registration/make_a_change/ or by calling Bakke at 406-243-7902.
“Participants will gain access to challenging new learning opportunities and learn how to earn credits that demonstrate to college admission departments that students are prepared for college-level study,” said Kyle Pucko, MC marketing and recruiting coordinator.
The session will help participants transition into a chosen career by teaching them how to establish an educational plan; use articulated credit and dual enrollment; and demonstrate access to experiential learning, relevant course work, leadership opportunities and lifelong learning.
