Both events will start from the Schreiber Gym on the UM campus. They begin at 10 a.m. and cost $15. Following the races, there will be prevention training. Interested participants can register online before April 15 at

“Participants will have the opportunity to be a part of something different on campus and within the Missoula community,” said UM student and event organizer Ben Cipriano.

The event aims to build awareness about sexual assault, to teach prevention of sexual assault through bystander training, to create a safer community and to counteract the stigma of Missoula being an unsafe place.

The event is sponsored by the Runner’s Edge, The Shirt Shop, Great Harvest Bread Co. and the UM Advocates for Non-violence.
