Women’s Leadership Initiative Invites UM Employees to Join Brainstorming Session

February 08, 2016

MISSOULA – The University of Montana Women’s Leadership Initiative invites UM employees of all genders to join a charrette-style brainstorming session designed to help determine the future of the initiative. The session will take place in University Center Room 330-331 from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. Light refreshments will be served.

The session will provide a forum for all UM employees to learn about the initiative and to provide their own feedback and perspectives on the initiative and what it might accomplish for the University. President Royce Engstrom will open the session with a few words.

Launched in August 2015 by Engstrom, the initiative is designed to support UM’s vision to promote a diverse campus to create a stronger learning environment and workplace. The inaugural cohort of Fellows was selected in September and includes faculty, staff and administrators from across the mountain and Missoula College campuses.

Cohort members participate in various activities designed to promote their individual professional development. However, the initiative also will support the larger UM community, and UM community participation is an important part of the initiative’s success.
