MISSOULA – The Women’s Leadership Initiative at the University of Montana will celebrate the close of its inaugural year with a community presentation and celebration titled “Thriving at UM: Women Leaders and the Campus Community Today and Tomorrow” at 3 Wednesday, May 4, in the Washington-Grizzly Stadium Canyon Club. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the community, and attendees are asked to RSVP to email@example.com by 5 p.m. Friday, April 29.
During this event, WLI members will share stories about the personal and institutional impacts the initiative has had this academic year while discussing how future WLI advocates can continue their efforts through concrete action. As the advancement of women at UM benefits the entire Missoula community, members will invite attendees to commit to specific actions to support and advance women at UM to carry forward the momentum built during the initiative’s inaugural year.
Launched in 2015 by President Royce Engstrom, the WLI uses a collaborative approach to build a culture of support for women’s leadership at UM. The WLI reflects Engstrom’s commitment to recognizing, valuing and advancing diversity at UM.
