UM to Host Seattle Singer/Songwriter Alumnus

MISSOULA – The University of Montana Alumni Association and UM Entertainment Management Program will host Seattle singer/songwriter and UM graduate Eric Tollefson at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the Dennison Theatre.

Tollefson has shared stages with G. Love and Special Sauce, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Donavon Frankenreiter, RayLand Baxter, Paula Cole and more. His albums, “The Sum of Parts” and “The Polar Ends,” blend folk, pop, blues and rock in an emotional collage. 

Tollefson’s latest album, “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” will be released Feb. 28, 2017, and will be available pre-release at the Oct. 21 concert. Collaborators on the album include Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart), Andrew Joslyn (Mackelmore, Odesza), Eric Heywood (The Pretenders, Ray LaMontagne, Son Volt) and Matt Hopper (Matt Hopper & The Roman Candles), and it was produced by Justin Armstrong (Dave Matthews, Audioslave, Death Cab for Cutie).
