International Women’s Day Event Set at UM

MISSOULA – The Student Involvement Network at the University of Montana will host a three-hour event in the University Center Ballroom on Wednesday, March 8, to honor International Women’s Day.

Entry will be a suggested $10 donation that benefits YWCA Missoula.

Opening remarks will be given by members of the Missoula YWCA and UM President Sheila Stearns shortly after 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

In keeping with the 2017 International Women’s Day theme #BeBoldForChange, at 7:15 p.m. participants will break into small groups to discuss topics that affect women worldwide and what actions will make a difference.

From 8 to 9 p.m., participants will eat dessert, relax and have some fun with activities like a photo booth, essential oils, a community painting project, herb gardens and more.
