UM’s Career Services Gathers Graduation Data with ‘First Destination Survey’

MISSOULA – Career Services at the University of Montana, with the support of the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Alumni Relations, launched the “First Destination Survey” on April 24.

The survey, available through Handshake at, is open to all students graduating in May 2018. The survey gathers information about students’ post-graduation plans, how they are using their UM education, and what experiences and services enhance immediate post-graduation outcomes. Graduates who take the survey by June 30 will be entered into a drawing for several prizes, including an iPad, UM Alumni Association Lifetime Membership, Griz gear and more.

Handshake is a free online recruiting platform used by thousands of employers across the nation to recruit UM students and alumni for a wide variety of jobs and internships. All current UM students and alumni can sign up for Handshake by visiting
